The Newborn Experience
You’re probably wondering what a newborn session with me is like, before I tell you what it IS like, I’ll tell you what it’s not like.
It’s not going to be stressful. I’m sorry if you’re hoping for an uptight, stress inducing session, I ain’t bringing it. When you meet me you’ll see how laid back I am. I’ve been told this can have a calming effect.
It’s not going to involve tight wrapping and overly posed photos. Do you want the froggy pose? I’m not going to do it, you’re best to find a photographer who will. It’s my aim to capture authentic, breathtaking images that you can display proudly around your house. These are your memories of you and who you are, and I don’t feel that making a baby look like a frog is a fair representation of that.
It’s not going to be ruined by your toddler. I think Forest Gump said it best when he said “Toddlers are like a box of chocolates, you never know which one you’re going to get.” That’s the saying right? Toddlers are challenging and chaotic and oh so much fun. I’m not worried about them and you shouldn’t be either. When they’re involved I know that they’re going to bring the creativity to the table with something completely unexpected.
So what is a session with me like then? Well, it’s relaxing. While I’m capturing your memories we’ll be getting to know each other a bit better and trading battle stories about this wonderful phase of life. I’ll give you prompts of where to look, how I want you to hold your bub and what I want your toddler to do… if they’ll be so kind as to oblige, but no stress if they don’t 😂
Packages
A session fee of $300 is required to secure your date. This is a creative fee and includes the time on the photo shoot, location scouting, styling advice and pre-consultation. It does not include any products or images.
