When is the best time to get maternity photos?

Between 28-32 weeks, because on average that’s when the bump is at the best size and when you still have enough mobility and energy to move and around and get in poses. That being said. every person and every pregnancy is different so there is not set rule.

I don’t know what to wear, will you help me with that?

Yes, I will in deed! All my full sessions include styling advice. You also have access to my client wardrobe of beautiful dresses that are incredibly flattering and photograph well!

Can I bring my partner?

Of course! I encourage partners to be involved, this is their journey into parenthood too and it’s so important to document this transformative time.

My partner doesn’t like having their photo taken, will this be uncomfortable for them?

No. It’s my aim and my super power to make people feel at ease. I’m not going to do anything that you or your partner are not comfortable with. I send you a questionnaire prior to the session to find out what those comfort levels are, and I also chat through that with you on your style consult. Not only does this help me to make your photos unique to who you are as a couple, but also to know and respect boundaries.

Can I bring my other child/ren?

Yes, please do!! It’s so important to include the whole family in these sessions.

where do you take the photos?

This is entirely up to you and the type of photos you would like. Some people want them outdoors at a beach or park, and some people want them in their home for a more intimate vibe and they feel more comfortable and free to take off their clothes. It all comes down to what kind of photos you want hanging on your walls.

a lot of your maternity photos show a bare bump, do I have to take my clothes off?

Hell no! I’m an introverted, shy, never nude myself, but I did get my bump out for my maternity photos. I think that the pregnant body is so incredibly beautiful and am in awe of what it’s able to do so I love showing it in all it’s beauty. That being said if you don’t want to get your bump out, that’s totally up to you. These are your photos and I just want you to love them.

when will we get our photos?

Approximately 2 weeks after the session you will receive a link to your online gallery where you can select your package and the images you can’t live without. Once you select your images you will receive them immediately upon purchasing. If you purchase print products through the online store these can take longer and come down to the time frames given by the printer.

can I have the unedited raw files?

No, RAW files will not be provided. This would be like going to a restaurant and asking the chef for the ingredients so you can make the dish yourself.
